Are you managing your own portfolio or using a robo-advisor?

For me 80% of my investments are individual stocks and the rest are ETFs that are mostly managed by robo-advisors. What about you guys?

I don't trust robo-advisors, betterment especially. They have been sucking pretty badly lately due to their concentration in international markets. I manage all my stocks myself. If you know what you're doing, just invest in companies that you believe in and sit back and relax instead of stressing over losses and gains everyday, I think you will do fine.

Look at the data https://senzu.io/investing/robo-advisors. I think they sucked for a while but they are picking up. They pretty much mirror the overall stock market but with more weight in international stocks. It's good for people that don't want to spend any time picking stocks or rebalancing.

I've been with Betterment for a few years now, and the past two years have definitely been the best. Seeing about an 8% avg. return on all accounts (Roth IRA + Investments). Not having to worry about rebalancing or figuring out what stocks/ETFs work is great, and Betterment's Retireguide tool is cool, too. I hold some individual stocks through Robinhood, but those are minimal.
